Baturiti mountain village trekking

Baturiti village located on the north of Denpasar city before the famous tourism spot Lake bratan temple, about 1 hours drive from Ubud. This mountain village lies 600m above sea level it is the largest series of mountain village around lake bratan, buyan and tamblingan included munduk, gesing and Banjar area. the major activity in this village is rice farming and others plantations like : cabbages, carrot, tomatoes, vegetables and in some area they grow strawberry. One think that I like when I visit this place is peaceful and the people are very friendly. The climate are cool and surrounded by tropical hills summit in the west, the rain are often in this village. nice place to visit for hanging out and watch the mountain villager daily life. My best friends Mr komang will accompany us to trek several km around his village and see his plantation. absolutely there is no tourist you will find in this village. get some new Eco activity before you leave Bali.

Visit Lake Tamblingan

Located on the north of Denpasar about 1,5 hours drive.  My trip to Danau tamblingan has the feel of a mini – archaelogical expedition. Both are contained within one vast caldera, lying betwen 500 and 1,500 meters above sea level. Because of the scarcity of public transport, the trip is best accomplished with a charter vehicle .

There are two approaches. West of singaraja, turn south at Banjar and follow the asphalt road to Munduk which then runs east along tranquil northern shores of  Danau tamblingan  and Danau buyan . For and easier approach, head south of the main highway out of Singaraja. About eight km before Bedugul, bear right and follow the ridge five km through the village of  Paluan. Just before entering Munduk, turn left and bump along a dirt road for 3.5km down to Lake tamblingan . smell the fields of hydrageas and coffee plants  and hear the sound of an almost primeval upland rainforest.

Join our trekking tour expedition with local people,  to see the archaeological site and serene lake surrounded  by beautiful peaks with fresh and cool climate.

One of the best accommodation to stay with the panorama of Lake tamblingan is  Puri lumbung cottages  its has five traditional raised cottages made of thatch, matting and wood. and is immaculate and nicely furnished. set on the side of the mountain, the cottages afford magnificent views of  rice terraces and clove plantations.
